Field Trip Scheduling & Policies
Canterbury Shaker Village educational programming is available seasonally.
May 1-October 31: Onsite guided programs (Please note that if visits are scheduled in early May or late October, when the Village is not open to the public, no additional buildings will be open for independent exploration after the guided program.)
May 14-October 21: Self-guided programs/Village open to the public
Field Trip Policies
Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance by contacting the Daily Visitor & Youth Programs Manager at (603) 783-9077 ext. 284 or email@example.com.
Programs are typically scheduled from 10am-noon. Please plan to arrive onsite 15 minutes before your program is scheduled to begin.
Minimum group size is 10 students. Groups larger than 80 students may need to be accommodated on multiple days.
Groups are welcome to enjoy lunch on the grounds. An indoor space is reserved for students to leave belongings and lunches while they participate in the program. Canterbury Shaker Village does not provide trash receptacles and encourages all groups to “carry in, carry out.”
Admission for guided programs is $7 per students. Teachers and one-to-one aides receive complimentary admission. Admission for all other chaperones is $9 per person. Payment is due upon arrival at the Museum Store in the Visitor Center.
Canterbury Shaker Village requires one chaperone for every 10 students. School-authorized chaperones are responsible for maintaining order and discipline for their assigned groups throughout the visit.
