The Garage, 1923

The Shakers purchased this prefabricated steel garage in 1923 from the Penn Metal Co. for $618 and picked it up at the factory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was used to store the Village's automobiles and trucks. The building measures 30x24 feet, has a single room and three pairs of double doors, and was the last structure built by the Church Family. Today it is used for storage and is not open to the public.
