Canterbury Shaker Village takes great pride in its talented, committed and diverse volunteer staff. Our volunteers participate in vital museum functions such as demonstrating crafts, greeting visitors, giving tours and assisting with special events. Volunteers also play a key role behind the scenes through gardening, helping with museum mailings, making garden products, doing research, and maintaining the buildings and property.

Volunteer benefits include:

• The opportunity to become part of everyday life at this unique historical site
• Eligibility for free CSV Individual and Family Memberships (benefits include free admission and discounts on workshops and museum purchases)
• Free guest passes after a minimum number of volunteer hours
• Volunteer appreciation events
