Visit Canterbury Shaker Village

Canterbury Shaker Village offers visitors a variety of entertaining, educational and engaging experiences in one of the most picturesque settings in northern New England. Guided and self-guided tours, accessible historic buildings, family activities, exhibits, educational programs, special events, unique shopping, exceptional dining and breathtaking grounds offer you more than you can do in a day.

All exhibits, guided tours, self-guided tours, craft demonstrations, special events, and access to the Village grounds are included in the price of admission. Click here to view our calendar of events and programs.

2012 Hours

Exhibits and Tours
We are open daily May 20 to October 31 from 10am – 5pm. We will also be open for our Christmas at Canterbury program on December 8 and 15 from 3 – 8pm.

The Museum Store
The Store is open daily May 1 to October 31 from 10am – 5pm. From November 1 to December 23, the store is open daily 10am – 4pm; it is closed Thanksgiving Day. You may place an order by calling 603-783-9511; for more information about the Store, click here.

Greenwood's at Canterbury Shaker Village
Greenwood's Restaurant, conveniently located near our Visitor Center, will open on May 14 and remain open daily through October 31, and on special event weekends in November and December. Greenwood's will serves lunch Monday – Saturday and brunch on Sunday from 11am – 3pm. Reservations are highly recommended. Please call 603-783-4238 for more information or click here.

Administrative Offices
Located in the Brethren's Shop and the Visitor Center, the business offices of Canterbury Shaker Village are open year-round Monday through Friday from 9am – 5pm.

Admission

Admission is located on the main floor of the Visitors' Center. Admission fees support the preservation of the Village, its collections, and visitor programs.

General admission includes all guided tours, exhibits, and self-guided areas. Tickets are good for two consecutive days, except on special event days.

Groups of 20 or more are eligible for reduced rates with advance appointment, no additional discounts apply. Dates and times are flexible for private groups with reservations. Please call the Village at 603-783-9077 ext. 230 for more information, or click here to send an e-mail request.

Pets, other than service animals, are not allowed in the Village.

Youth: (ages 6-17): $8
Children (ages 5 and under):  Free
Family (2 adults and 2 or more children, ages 6 to 17):  $42
Adult Groups (20 or more adults): $13 per person with advance reservation.
