The Canterbury Story Tour

May 14 – September 11: 11am, 1pm, and 3pm
September 11 – October 31: 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 3:30pm
The Canterbury Story Tour introduces visitors to the 200-year history, culture and innovations of the Canterbury Shakers. The Shakers' worship, work and daily life are discussed on this guided tour through the Meeting House, Laundry and Dwelling House. Visitors see artifacts and interiors that have made the Shakers world renowned, and learn how the Shakers influenced and were influenced by the world. 
Starts at the Visitor Education Center. 90 minutes.

The Shaker Family Tour

Weekdays during summer vacation months: 2pm
September 112 – October 31: 11:30am and 1:45pm
An alternative to the Shaker Story Tour for families with children, this tour takes a more hands-on approach. Participants are encouraged to sing and dance in the Dwelling House Chapel, touch reproduction items in our Simply Colorful Room, marvel at the technology in the Laundry, and improve their penmanship in the School House.
Starts at the Power House Family Center. 60 minutes.
