Submissions are now being taken for the 5th annual Canterbury Artisan Festival on Saturday, September 16, 2017, 10:00 am-5:00 pm.

The Canterbury Artisan Festival celebrates traditional arts. The event features a Juried Craft Fair and Farmers’ Market, traditional arts and agricultural demonstrations, live music and artisan food, and craft activities.

JURIED CRAFT FAIR

Exhibit and sell against the backdrop of our beautiful buildings and fields during peak attendance season!

Craft Fair Categories include:
Clay, Fiber/Fabric, Metal, Wood,  Jewelry, Glass, Baskets, Leather , Toys, Photography, Printmaking, Drawing, Oils, Watercolors, Acrylics, Sculpture, Multi-Media

RETURNING ARTISTS

For 2017, artists returning from the 2016 Canterbury Artisan Festival may apply without the jury process. However, any 2016 artist who dismantled early is not eligible for the 2017 craft fair.

To apply, please return the completed and signed 2017 Craft Application and appropriate booth fee.

2nd Deadline: July 31, 2017 (or before as categories fill)

NEW ARTISTS

All new artists to the Canterbury Artisan Festival will be juried. To apply, please return:

  • Completed and Signed 2017 Craft Application
  • Completed New Artist Jury Form
  • Required images for jurying (see New Artist Jury Form)

Preferred Deadline: May 15, 2017 (notification date May 22, 2017)

10’ x 10’ space: $35.00

2nd Deadline: July 31, 2017 (or before as categories fill)

Notification date: August 7, 2016

10’ x 10’ space: $45.00

 

ALL ARTISTS

The booth fee pays for a 10’ x 10’ space at the fair. Artists are responsible for bringing their own tents, tent weights, tables, chairs and displays. This is a rain or shine outdoor event. In extreme weather conditions, i.e. hurricane, the festival could called early. However, occasional pop-up rain showers are not uncommon in September. You may wish to invest in tent sides if your products will be seriously damaged by rain. NO EARLY DISMANTLING OR DEPARTURES. DISPLAYS MUST REMAIN INTACT UNTIL 5 PM. Failure to abide by this policy will result in future ineligibility for the festival.

 

FARMERS’ MARKET

Join the community of growers and producers at the Canterbury Artisan Festival Farmers’ Market and sell your locally produced food and products to a diverse audience as part of this multi-faceted event. The Farmer’s Market is open to farmers and creators of farm value-added products, as well as crafters of up-cycled, recycled, and emerging work.The Canterbury Artisan Festival is registered with the Department of Agriculture as a one-day Farmer’s Market.

Farmer’s Market Categories include: plants, produce, meat/dairy, prepared food & beverage, soaps, oils, & lotions, herbal remedies, candy and more.

FEES: First Deadline, May 15, 2017: $10 booth fee

Second Deadline, July 31, 2017: $15 booth fee
