Canterbury Shaker Village is excited to present our Annual Report for 2025-2026.

We had a wonderful year of projects, like putting new roofs on the Horse Barn and Bee House. We raised over $2M for future preservation including the Meeting House and East House projects set to be completed in 2026. Tours and programs were expanded for visitors, including a new series of in-depth tours, preservation workshops, and new and returning community events. Our museum collection continued to reveal new insights into the lives of the Shakers who lived here through a major inventory project of the Village’s 100,000 item collection. Volunteers stewarded our beautiful landscape and made improvements to the gardens and trails. And the Board of Trustees approved a new strategic plan to guide us for the next five years.
