Canterbury Shaker Village Names New Director of Development

Canterbury Shaker Village is excited to announce the hiring of Cassidy Priester as the new Director of Development.
Cassidy will serve a critical role in the Village’s growth by leading major fundraising efforts to support the Village now and into the future. Under Cassidy’s leadership, the Village will complete a multi-million-dollar effort to preserve the Village’s historic resources and collections, improve the visitor experience, and increase its endowment to ensure long-term financial viability.
Cassidy has a decade of fundraising experience, formerly as the Deputy Finance Director for Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, and more recently as the Director of Development for The BASE, a youth-development organization in Boston, where she was responsible for the annual operating budget and supporting a major capital campaign. Cassidy brings experience in principal gifts, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and events.
Outside of work, Cassidy enjoys beekeeping, pottery, gardening, and maple sugaring. She lives on Stinson Lake with her husband, Tom, and border collie-corgi mix, Tuck.
