
Restoration Projects Take Center Stage at Canterbury Shaker Village
This year, Canterbury Shaker Village received financial support from several funders to begin an ambitious restoration of its Schoolhouse (c. 1823/63) that began this spring and will be completed next summer.

Canterbury Shaker Village to Host Concert & Cocktails
On Saturday, December 3 at 4:00 p.m., Canterbury Shaker Village will host Concert & Cocktails, a holiday string quartet concert with Symphony NH, the first of several ‘Merry Merry Canterbury’ events. Concert & Cocktails is made possible with support from Coaches Collective International, Cambridge Trust, and Betsy & Bruce Stefany.

Canterbury Shaker Village to Present A Special Screening: ‘Holy Ground’
Throughout spring 2022, Liz and Matt Myer Boulton of SALT, an Emmy Award-winning production company, captured Canterbury Shaker Village through film. Funded by New Hampshire Humanities, the project resulted in a visitor orientation film, ‘Holy Ground,’ that will be shown at Peterborough Community Theatre on Tuesday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and will include wine and popcorn.

Canterbury Shaker Village to Host Delta Dental XC Series, October 15 & 22
On Saturday, October 15 and October 22 at 10:00 a.m., Canterbury Shaker Village will host 5K cross-country races as part of the Delta Dental XC Series.

Stone Wall Workshops Offer Unique Opportunity at Canterbury Shaker Village
Stone walls are found throughout the New England countryside—and set on nearly 700 acres just outside Concord, New Hampshire, Canterbury Shaker Village is no exception. “We have stone walls throughout our property, some of which need repairs during the warmer months,” explained Executive Director Leslie Nolan. “Several years ago, we realized we had the perfect backdrop for a workshop-style program.”
