Shaker Pie is Rational: Some Thoughts on Pi Day 2023
Pie unites because it is so divisible. Unlike pi, pie was rational to Shakers who shared fairly at the dining table. How the Canterbury Shakers conceived of themselves was found not in distinctive foods but rather in their communal foodways: soups, meats, and vegetables were dished out from shared platters and bowls.
2023 Delta Dental Snow or No We Go Trail Series Returns to Canterbury Shaker Village
The 2023 Delta Dental Snow or No We Go Trail Series returns to Canterbury Shaker Village on January 28, February 11, and February 18. Taking place at 10:00 a.m., the races provide snowshoers with the opportunity to hike, jog, or run through the Village’s extensive trail system.
Symphony NH Concertmaster Quartet to Perform at Canterbury Shaker Village

Restoration Projects Take Center Stage at Canterbury Shaker Village
This year, Canterbury Shaker Village received financial support from several funders to begin an ambitious restoration of its Schoolhouse (c. 1823/63) that began this spring and will be completed next summer.
Canterbury Shaker Village to Present A Special Screening: ‘Holy Ground’
Throughout spring 2022, Liz and Matt Myer Boulton of SALT, an Emmy Award-winning production company, captured Canterbury Shaker Village through film. Funded by New Hampshire Humanities, the project resulted in a visitor orientation film, ‘Holy Ground,’ that will be shown at Peterborough Community Theatre on Tuesday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and will include wine and popcorn.

Stone Wall Workshops Offer Unique Opportunity at Canterbury Shaker Village
