On Saturdays, March 18 and April 1, visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore the expansive grounds at Canterbury Shaker Village during its popular annual Sugar Camp Guided Hiking Tours.
Canterbury Shaker Village to Offer Tai Chi at the Village
Held every Monday from March 13 through May, Tai Chi at the Village represents an opportunity to learn Tai Chi from Darcy Cushing, a student of the renowned Tung family T’ai Chi Style. Tai Chi at the Village represents the latest in a number of Tai Chi classes and workshops that have been held over the years.

Education is an important part of the experience at Canterbury Shaker Village, which provides a variety of tours throughout its expansive campus.
These tours will be enhanced this year at the Village, which reopens on Saturday, May 13, with
a smartphone experience.

Canterbury Shaker Village Celebrates Major Grant Award
In December, Canterbury Shaker Village received a $109,755 matching grant from the New Hampshire Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP) to fund a new roof, at its Dwelling House. One of 26 restored original Shaker buildings at the Village, a National Historic Landmark, the Dwelling House is a T-shaped structure with 56 rooms that has been expanded numerous times since its construction in 1793.
